Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)
School Bell Early Childhood Education Centers offers the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), Michigan’s nationally recognized Pre-K program, at their Brighton location, providing 4-year-old children with a ‘great start’ to their educational journey.
Using the same research-based HighScope Curriculum and led by state-certified and highly qualified teachers, the GSRP program is free for families who qualify.
A strong start TODAY today creates endless possibilities for tomorrow.
The majority of Michigan’s 4-year-olds qualify based on household income, including many families who didn’t think they would. You are encouraged to apply and see if your family is eligible. Children who may not meet income eligibility but have other risk factors could still be considered based on available space.
Child must be 4 years old but not yet 5 by September 1 of the school year
Michigan residency required
Children with certain risk factors (e.g., developmental delays, IEPs, non-English language learners, diagnosed disabilities, or a history of abuse/neglect) may qualify
Children who are in foster care, or children who are experiencing homelessness are eligible
Parents/caregivers must provide proof of age and residency (e.g., birth certificate, utility bill)
