Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)

School Bell Early Childhood Education Centers offers the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), Michigan’s nationally recognized Pre-K program, at their Brighton location, providing 4-year-old children with a ‘great start’ to their educational journey.

Using the same research-based HighScope Curriculum and led by state-certified and highly qualified teachers, the GSRP program is free for families who qualify.

GSRP Eligiblity

A strong start TODAY today creates endless possibilities for tomorrow.

The majority of Michigan’s 4-year-olds qualify based on household income, including many families who didn’t think they would. You are encouraged to apply and see if your family is eligible. Children who may not meet income eligibility but have other risk factors could still be considered based on available space.

^

Children with certain risk factors (e.g., developmental delays, IEPs, non-English language learners, diagnosed disabilities, or a history of abuse/neglect) may qualify

^

Children who are in foster care, or children who are experiencing homelessness are eligible

What Our Families are Saying

My daughter has been at School Bell since my dreaded return to work and nothing gets me thru my hard work days other than KNOWING my daughter is in a safe environment with educated loving people.

I have had my son enrolled at School Bell since he was in the infant room and now he has moved up into the toddler room and I am so appreciative of the amazing staff that helped us out along the way.

All of my children have thrived at School Bell and I have recommended it to several friends and coworkers. The staff has always been wonderful and my children have made some great friends.

The Staff is excellent. My 2-year-old knows colors and some sign language. She loves her teacher and they treat you as a friend when dropping off or picking up. Love, love, love, School Bell!

All three of my children have attended School Bell. My third child has been there almost three years now and I will be sad when she moves on to Kindergarten.

If you are nervous about daycare, School Bell and its staff will put you at ease. If I could give their staff and environment more than 5 stars I certainly would. Without a doubt, bring your child here!

I found School Bell online and I went to take a tour and I loved it! All the staff was very nice & respectful! My daughter started two weeks ago and she loves it! They really do a fantastic job with the children!

I'm so excited to see my daughter learn new things and to be able to know how to play and interact with other children!

The staff is at School Bell is awesome. Ms. Lori, Ms. Wendy, and Ms. Sidney do a wonderful job with my daughter! I highly recommend School Bell!

I have had my son at School Bell since he was 1 - he is 3 now. I have never been unimpressed with their care or service. Lori is awesome and understanding. I have loved all of his teachers.

My son has made some really great friendships at School Bell and always comes home knowing something new. If they transitioned into school years I would probably keep him there!

School Bell is such a wonderful place. I have been with them for years now and I absolutely adore the staff. The building is always tastefully decorated and extremely clean.

School Bell is a wonderful place to help advance your child's learning, with highly educated teachers in the classroom to help get your children ready for the next learning lesson in their lives.

If you're looking for excellent childcare do yourself a favor and come tour a School Bell Early Childhood Education Center and you will not be disappointed.

My daughter has been attending School Bell in Brighton for just over 2 years. We have had a wonderful experience. She looks forward to going to "school' every day.

We have had a great experience with School Bell. All of the teachers that my daughter has had hold a special place in her heart and she still says hi to them all and will give hugs.

My children both go to School Bell for childcare. My children always share their daily activities and how much fun they had. My children have learned so much and made so many friends.

The curriculum not only helps prepare the children for kindergarten but also helps develop social development.

The center is always beautifully decorated with the children's artwork and is clean, and welcoming. The staff goes above and beyond to help families.

My two children have attended School Bell for more than five years. My son loves his teacher, Miss Lorenz. School Bell has the most qualified and educated teachers.

Miss Lorenz, who was voted teacher of the year in Livingston County when she taught kindergarten, is the most caring teacher a child could have the good fortune to have for Pre-k.

The School Bell Early Education Center we attend is very clean, organized and the lunches and snacks are very nutritional.
