School Bell Early Childhood Education Centers offer child care and early education programs for children 6 weeks old to 12 years old, divided by age range and developmental level including:

Our infant program provides expert nurturing and is designed to enhance social and emotional development, lay a foundation for learning and build an atmosphere of trust by consistently meeting a child’s individual needs.
Program Details
Our Infant Program’s Creative Curriculum provides:

Staff Qualifications
Our teachers and caregivers are highly trained and passionate about helping children. All staff, volunteers and parents working with children must:
- All lead teachers have either a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a child development associate’s degree
- Provide fingerprints
- Undergo extensive referral checks and work history verification
- Pass a complete background check for criminal history including felonies and crimes against children
- Complete training on bloodborne pathogens safety, first aid, CPR, infant safe sleep, shaken baby, and children and infant general health and safety
- Agree to and complete on-going health and safety training to total a minimum of 16 hours per year
- Pass a TB test
Safety & Cleanliness
- Classrooms are designed to ensure children are comfortable and safe (no sharp corners, padding, removal of choking hazards, etc.)
- We adhere to a strict three-step cleaning process including daily surface and restroom sanitizing, frequent handwashing and daily toy baths
- Security includes a mandatory check-in/check-out policy, double-door secure entry systems, door access codes for parents and alarms
Toddler Child Care
1 – 2 1/2 Years
Our toddler program focuses on positive interactions and building communication skills and independence with educational experiences that encourage problem-solving, language development and word association.

Our Toddler Program’s Creative Curriculum provides:

- Rich sensory activities that enhance healthy brain development
- Planned experiences that foster creativity, problem-solving, language development, and word association

Latchkey
5 – 12 Years
Latchkey is an elementary school-age program that provides before and after-school supervised care which includes learning activities, homework help and lots of opportunities for physical movement and friendship building.
Program Details
The School Bell Latchkey Program provides:
- Certified, qualified and experienced child care providers
- Planned educational and creative activities
- Snacks
- Lots of physical movement including active play in our outdoor playscape
- Books and educational toys
- A relaxed and carefully designed classroom environment
- Transportation to Howell, Hartland, Highland, and Rochester Hills schools
- Drop-off as early at 6:30 am, pick-up by 6 pm

Our Preschool program encourages self-help and independence and includes daily play-based activities that encourage problem-solving, critical thinking, and learning such as counting and grouping, music, dance, art, outdoor play, and more.
Program Details
The Preschool Program’s Creative Curriculum features 38 objectives from 10 areas of development and learning and provides:
- Planned experiences for children to play, explore, experiment and create
- An environment where each child is encouraged to explore and discover at their own pace
- Scheduled conferences and individual child assessments
- Hands-on small, and large muscle activities, teacher and child-directed
- Activities that introduce and reinforce sequence of events, patterning, routines, counting making predictions, cause and effect

Pre-Kindergarten

The School Bell Pre-K Program is designed to promote greater success in kindergarten and beyond by providing fun play-based learning activities that strengthen foundations in math, science, language, early literacy, music and art.

The Pre-Kindergarten Program’s Creative Curriculum features 38 objectives from 10 areas of development and learning and provides:
- A safe and developmentally appropriate environment, which enables children to explore and learn about themselves and their world
- Purposefully constructed activities that prepare for Kindergarten readiness and build the foundations for future academic success in math, science, reading and writing
- Unique and creative teacher-planned experiences that encourage problem-solving, communication and language development
- Daily routines that encourage self-confidence and self-discipline
- Daily guidance on regulating emotions and developing positive social skills

Half & Full-Day Camp
5 – 12 Years
Summer Camp at School Bell is fun, exciting and full of educational experiences, ample time to burn off energy outside and plenty of opportunities to build new friendships.
Program Details
Kids have blast at School Bell Summer Camp! We give kids fun, screen-free and engaging opportunities all summer long, including:
- Activities that encourage outdoor active play including swimming, gymnastics, roller skating, nature walks, and more
- Field trip adventures to museums, petting zoos, and local parks
- Opportunities to promote creativity including arts and craft projects, dancing, dress-up, and dramatic play
